What CaloTrak keeps
- Your account: you sign in with Apple, so we get Apple's anonymous ID for you, plus your name and email if you choose to share them with Apple's sign-in.
- Your body profile: sex, birthday, height, weight, activity level and goal, used for your calorie targets.
- Your food log: what you entered, the estimates, and the days and meals they belong to.
- A record of each estimate: what you described, which model answered, how long it took and what it cost. This keeps the daily limits fair and the running cost in check.
Food photos and estimates
To estimate calories, your description or photo is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model works out the numbers and may search the web for a restaurant's published nutrition. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, what we send isn't used to train its models.
Photos are used for that one estimate and aren't saved by CaloTrak. The estimate itself is saved in your log.
Who can see it
Your profile and food log are yours. Other people using CaloTrak can't see them.
While CaloTrak is in testing, the person who runs it can look at accounts and logs to find and fix problems. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone besides Anthropic for estimates and Railway, which hosts the service.
Deleting your data
Settings in the app has Delete account. It deletes your account, profile, food log and estimate records right away. Signing out keeps your data for when you sign back in.
